Industry will see the independece day clash like never before , the new vs old legacy is going to be on floor , where one side the greek god Hritik along with telagu heartrob Jr. NTR will try to give a headon to Superstar of milenia “Rajnikant”.

Budget and Starcast

The cast is absolutely stacked—Nagarjuna, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, and a bunch of other big names are on board. Word on the street is that Rajinikanth is getting ₹280 crore for this, and Lokesh is pocketing ₹60 crore, which just shows how massive this project is. The teaser dropped with a track called “Coolie Disco” by Anirudh Ravichander, and my friends won’t stop talking about it. I’m trying to avoid watching it because I don’t want any spoilers, but apparently, Rajinikanth is in a whole new avatar, and it’s got everyone hyped.

So, here’s where I’m stuck, and I bet a lot of you are too. Coolie or War 2? On one hand, you’ve got Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj bringing this raw, larger-than-life Tamil action flick that’s probably going to have me screaming “Thalaiva!” in the theater. I can already imagine the crowd losing it when Rajinikanth makes his entry—those are the kind of moments that make going to the movies so special. Plus, the whole dystopian vibe is something new for him, and I’m so curious to see how it plays out. But then there’s War 2, with Hrithik and Jr. NTR in this super polished spy thriller that’s going to have insane action scenes and probably some killer dance numbers too.

I love how the YRF Spy Universe connects all these characters—I still freak out thinking about Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo in Tiger 3. And let’s be real, watching Hrithik on the big screen is always a treat. The fact that it’s coming out in August 2025 might mean I can catch it sooner, but I don’t even know Coolie’s release date yet, so that’s not helping me decide.

If I had to pick, I think I’d go with Coolie first. There’s just something about seeing Rajinikanth on the big screen that hits different, especially with Lokesh directing.
